Our Beliefs & VAlues
At Serve the Global Church, our beliefs and values are rooted in a deep love for God, His Word, and those that He has called us to serve.
Statement of Faith
1. God
We believe in one eternal, all-powerful, and unchanging God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, perfectly holy, just, loving, and sovereign over all creation. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
2. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and willingly died on the cross to atone for the sins of humanity. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return in power and glory to establish His kingdom. (John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:6-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
3. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, actively working in the world to convict of sin, regenerate hearts, and empower believers to live godly lives. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, unites them with Christ, and equips them with spiritual gifts for service and the building up of the Church. (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23)
4. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final standard for faith and practice, revealing God’s character, purposes, and plan for humanity. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
5. Humanity
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, male and female, designed for relationship with Him and stewardship over creation. However, through sin, humanity became separated from God, leading to spiritual and physical death. All people are in need of salvation through Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)
6. Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus provided the only means for forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God. Those who trust in Him are justified, adopted into God’s family, and assured of eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10)
7. Resurrection and Eternal Life
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: the saved to eternal life in the presence of God and the unsaved to eternal separation from Him. The resurrection of Jesus Christ assures believers of their future resurrection and eternal inheritance. (John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23; Revelation 21:1-4)
8. The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have trusted in Him for salvation. The Church is called to worship God, grow in faith, proclaim the gospel, and serve the world in love and truth. Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, and believers are called to live in unity and obedience to His teachings. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:4-6)
